I would like to take this time to thank all of the people that had anything to do with the California Convention. The convention this year was one of the best conventions I have been to. I would like to thank all the breeders who brought animals for the judging contests. We were lucky enough to have different classes for each day. The animals brought in this year were some of the nicest animals that the kids have had to judge in a long time. Having good people to ram-rod the show and good animals for the ARBA contests sure made for a good experience for the kids.

I would also like to let everyone know this was the last convention that Jane and Dallas are going to run the ARBA Youth Programs. After fourteen years on the ARBA Youth Committee and being chairman for the last twelve I have decided to resign. I would like to thank all the volunteers who have helped us over the years. Without them, running the contests would have been impossible. The ARBA Board of Directors over the past fourteen years has been more than supportive to the Youth Committee. They have been willing to support new ideas and contests with little hesitation. Without their support there would be no Youth Contests at the conventions.

And last but by no means least I would like to thank all the past and current members of the Youth Committee. These are the people who come to the convention and give up most of their time to make sure the Youth Contests go off without too many problems. These are the people who have had to put up with late nights at conventions grading and re-grading contest paperwork. The members of the youth committee are the ones that need the big thank you.
